Dr. Charles Petty is a professional motivational speaker who speaks primarily on work/life balance. He was reared in the farming communities of England and Stuttgart, Arkansas. As a native of Arkansas he does know President Clinton. When the President was eleven or twelve years old, Dr. Petty was his rifle instructor at a Boy Scout camp! This is the man who taught President Clinton to shoot straight!
Dr. Petty has spoken to over 3200 different clients in 50 states and 14 countries. The reason for his popularity is simple: audiences laugh and learn. Dr. Petty believes audiences learn better if they enjoy what is being said, so he packages life-changing principles in humor. His speaking philosophy is simple. "My job as a speaker is to put a smile on faces, information in minds, motivation in hearts and make the program planner look good."
Charles Petty was educated in Arkansas, Mississippi and Texas for 22 consecutive years - which means he is either well educated or a little slow! Dr. Petty has been a counselor, visiting professor, on the staffs of large corporations in Texas and North Carolina, and for seven years was on the senior staff of the North Carolina Governor. Since 1985, all he does is "eat and speak". He spoke so much he earned the designation, "Certified Speaking Professional." Charles Petty spoke so well he was inducted into the National Speakers Hall of Fame, joining such dignitaries as Zig Ziglar, Art Linkletter, Norman Vincent Peale and Earl Nightingale.
Dr. Charles Petty is married and has two grown children, four grandchildren and a grand dog!
