Joe Martin is an odds beater and electrifying speaker your employees will never forget! Born and reared by a teenage mother in one of the toughest inner-city ghettos in Miami, Florida, he watched six of his friends die before he reached the age of 16.
In spite of growing up in a family plagued by alcoholism, drugs, and abuse, Joe Martin started his first successful business (a retail clothing store) at the age of 22; became the youngest professor ever hired to teach at an accredited university in the state of Florida at the age of 24, and owned and operated a successful special events/public relations agency at the age of 26.
Currently, Joe Martin is the president and founder of RealWorld University, the largest college student success web site in the country. He has also worked as a communications director for the Florida's Governor's Office, and as a top sales trainer for a Fortune 500 company.
Over the past decade, Joe Martin has spoken for more than 550 businesses, governmental agencies, associations, colleges and universities. And he's been recognized nationally as America's #1 Educator Motivator and was voted America's Campus Speaker of the Year by the Association for Programming Campus Activities.
Joe Martin is the author of seven books, including the top-selling Gifts & Handkerchiefs: A Lesson in Servant Leadership. And some of his other books include: Let Your Leadership Speak, How to be a Master Networker, and Good Teachers Never Quit. Joe has also produced several audio and CD programs, and he has written more than 125 articles for more than 20 publications.
