Becky Sauerbrunn played soccer at the University of Virginia and played every game minus her sophmore year due to her duties with the USWNT. She started her National Team career in 1999 on the U-14 team and has consistently been an important factor for the team. Sauerbrunn had her first call up to the senior team in 2008 and was called back again in 2010. She was a part of the decade long success of the team that included two World Cups (2015,2019), three CONCACAF Championship (2010,2014,2018), and an Olympic Gold Medal in 2012. At the club level she has won back to back NWSL Championships in 2014 and 2015.
